Palestinian doctor 鈥淚 will never hate鈥�
In 2009 a Palestinian doctor lost three of his eight children when shells fell on his home in Gaza during an Israeli offensive against Hamas. Since October 7th he has lost a further 22 family members.
In an interview with Zeinab Badawi for the 成人快手 HARDtalk programme the peace advocate and author of the critically acclaimed book 鈥業 Shall Not Hate鈥� explains how he feels with surviving family still in danger. 鈥淚 feel angry about what is happening. I am in pain, heartbroken. I don't want even to touch my cell phone to hear some bad news.鈥�
But, he says, 鈥淚 will never hate. Hate brakes me down, makes me weak.鈥� He added 鈥淗atred is a contagious destructive disease.鈥�
He called on the international community to help the Palestinians in Gaza saying: 鈥淲e are not seeking to take us to the moon. We are seeking our freedom to be equal to others.鈥�
