Metal poppies commemorate former Ashby pupils
A display of metal poppies has been installed at a Leicestershire school to commemorate former students.
122 students went to Ashby school and died in the two World Wars.
Acres Engineering from South Derbyshire, whose managing director went to Ashby school, has made the 122 metal poppies that are now on display at the school.
Pupils at Ashby School have been telling us what they make of the display. And Ed Cooper from Ashby School and Luke Parker from Acres Engineering explain to Ady Dayman what inspired the creation of the poppies.
