Why are people protesting in Ghana?

The government鈥檚 response to the soaring cost of living has stoked tension in Ghana

Last week, hundreds of protesters marched in Ghana鈥檚 capital, Accra. They called for the resignation of the governor of the Bank of Ghana over billions of Ghanaian cedis lost in the 2022 financial year.
