We're taking more sick days than at any point in the last decade.

New research has found stress and cost-of-living pressures are partly responsible, and on average, workers were off ill for nearly eight days in the past year.

The Chartered Institute for Professional Development examined the records of 918 organisations, employing six and a half million people. It found that, on average, workers were off ill for 7.8 days in the past year.

The CIPD say stress, Covid and the cost of living are having a worrying impact on staff.
