Trekking 3,500km for Africa's elephants
Jim Justus Naymu is trekking over 3500km across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo to challenge the governments there on their elephant protection policies.
By passing between so many countries, Mr Naymu wants to highlight that elephant herds are also not tied to national borders and so international collaboration is needed to protect them.
"One of the perpetual attitudes I'm having to deal with is that wildlife belongs to the state or to the tourist," he says, "We do not need to protect elephants for tourists, we are doing it for us."
