'I'm not even breaking even sometimes at the moment'

For the 13th time in a row, the Bank of England has raised interest rates.

In a break from the previous quarter point jumps the Bank has put them up by half a percentage point to 5% - up from 4.5%.

The last time the base rate was 5% or higher was in 2008.

Many families are facing financial pressure with rising mortgages and higher rent - coupled with high inflation and the increasing cost of living.

But many businesses have been feeling the squeeze too. 成人快手 Radio Leicester reporter Helen McCarthy has been talking to business owners in Belgrave Gate in the city to find out how they're dealing with these challenging financial circumstances.
