My diary of the war in Ukraine

Yeva Skalietska was 12 years old when missiles started falling on her home city off Kharkiv in Ukraine last February. She started to record her thoughts and feelings about what was happening around her in her diary. Yeva soon had to flee with her grandmother, her legal guardian. During her travels across Europe - she's now settled in Ireland - she continued to write down those experiences in her diary. That diary has now been published under the title You Don't Know What War. She came into the Newshour studio and spoke to James Menendez about how she started to write the diary.
