Helping the Afghan Children Banned from School
"It's like a light in a very dark tunnel" - one Afghan schoolgirl welcomes the new lessons being provided by the 成人快手.
"It's like a light in a very dark tunnel" is how one Afghan schoolgirl describes the new lessons being provided by the 成人快手 for students aged 11 to 16. Girls have been banned by the Taleban from going to school, but now the 成人快手 is offering teaching through the radio, satellite television and the internet. The lessons are partly based on the 成人快手 Bitesize home study service offered to pupils during the pandemic. Shazia Haya fled Afghanistan in 2021 and is one of the teachers. She hears reaction from pupils - and talks about her own experience.
