How football brought new joy Cameroon's female amputees
Losing a limb is said to be as traumatic as losing a loved one - or even losing your identity. Having support to adapt is crucial – and that’s what the Women’s Amputee Football Association of Cameroon is offering. WAFAC – for short – was set up in 2019 and has already made a big impact on the lives of women coping with the loss of a limb. Nick Loomis caught up with the team in Douala.
