"My holiday misery over airport parking"

One dad's story of a near-five hour wait at Gatwick for their car.

A dad's been telling us how a Christmas family holiday ended in misery after waiting nearly five hours at Gatwick for their car.

'John' booked a 24/7 meet and greet valet service online - but they'd left it in muddy patch of unsecured woodland at Copthorne several miles away.

We've discovered dozens of customers were waiting for hours and police were called to keep the peace.

It's claimed one member of parking staff man-handled a woman.

'John' used a website for My Parking Limited.

They told us they've served over ten thousand customers since they started at Gatwick in September 2022.

My Parking Limited also said they can't satisfy every customer and other parking companies use the same site.

They claim their yard has planning permission and also CCTV.

They also say they rent the land from a landlord to park the cars.

But the council told us the permit does not include winter months - and its officers are checking the site and they could take action if there's a continued breach of planning control.

The company is nothing to do with Gatwick Airport which says its official parking website is rated excelled on Trustpilot. It's got a fivepoint checklist to help travellers avoid any rogue operators.
