Spokesperson for former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, calls him 'brave'

Pakistan's former prime minister, Imran Khan, has attended a rally in the city of Rawalpindi, for the climax of what has been billed as the Long March. It was his first public appearance since he was shot and wounded in what his supporters say was an assassination attempt. Mr Khan has been pressuring the government to call early elections.

Workers installed a bulletproof glass shield on a stage ahead of Mr Khan's appearance in Rawalpindi, and his spokesperson, Raoof Hasan, says he also now wears a bulletproof vest. Speaking to Newshour, Mr Hasan said the former prime minister was showing "immense bravery".
