From rags to riches: The story of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and one of the richest cities in the world. But, before oil was discovered, the inhabitants lived in extreme poverty with no roads, schools or hospitals.
Born in Abu Dhabi in 1948, author Mohammed Al Fahim grew up barefoot and without access to clean water. He describes the incredible transformation of his home.
