Ethiopia: First aid convoy since ceasefire arrives in Tigray
Two weeks after the ceasefire agreement between the government and rebels in the Tigray region, the International Committee of the Red Cross has delivered its first convoy of aid.
Tigray鈥檚 six million inhabitants had suffered under a blockade since the beginning of the war two years ago, with limited humanitarian aid.
Jude Fuhnwi is the ICRC spokesperson in Addis Ababa: "We have delivered 40 tonnes of essential medical items, emergency medicines and surgical equipment. The humanitarian situation is extremely worrying...we are going to deliver as much as we can."
