Iran's Generation Z 'driving anti government protests'

Deep into their second month, the protests in Iran show no sign of quietening, nor the harshness of the authorities' response lessening.

Just on Thursday, the security forces opened fire on crowds near Tehran, who had been marking the fortieth day of mourning for a woman shot dead while demonstrating.

One of the key features -- perhaps THE key feature -- has been how the protests have been driven by young people. It's something which Holly Dagres is particularly interested in -- she is an Iranian-American who spent her formative hears in Iran, and is now a non-resident senior fellow in the Middle East programme for the Atlantic Council thinktank.
