Matt Hancock joins I'm a Celebrity
Matt Hancock is suspended as a Conservative MP, after joining this year's line up on I'm a Celeb. People who lost loved ones in the Covid pandemic say the move is "sickening".
Matt Hancock is back in the news... controversially, for agreeing to swap representing his constituents in Westminster, for eating bugs in the jungle. The former Health Secretary - who was among the team leading the government's response to the Covid pandemic - has been suspended as a Conservative MP for doing so.
The move has also been viewed dimly by people who lost loved ones. The campaign group Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice have criticised Mr Hancock's decision as "sickening" - and has called for ITV to remove him from the programme.
So is it right for politicians to put themselves forward on Celebrity shows - and what does this mean for Matt Hancock? Some of the questions tackled by Sarah Montague and guests on Radio 4's World at One.
