Care home closure leaves residents' futures in doubt
St Elizabeth's Care ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ and Nursing on the Essex-Hertfordshire border is set to close at the end of November.
The CQC rated the home as inadequate and they "failed to ensure there were enough appropriately skilled staff to meet people's needs and keep them safe".
The residents there have complex needs, like epilepsy and learning difficulties - and their families are now having to find somewhere suitable they can move to.
³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Essex speaks to Michael Lancashire from Felsted, whose daughter Christie lives at St Elizabeth's, as well as Angie Lay whose daughter Katie lives at St Elizabeth's, and Juliet Anderson whose sister lives at St Elizabeth's as well.
