The scandal at the heart of Canada's most popular sport
Canada鈥檚 most popular sport, ice hockey, is in the grip of a major scandal.
Details have been emerging over how the sport鈥檚 governing body Hockey Canada has dealt with a number of serious sexual assault charges against players going back decades.
The body鈥檚 director and interim board chair Andrea Skinner resigned over the weekend, days after a controversial parliamentary committee meeting in which she defended how the issue had been handled.
Major sponsors, including Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire and Nike, have responded by cutting ties with Hockey Canada permanently or by withdrawing funding for men's hockey this season.
So how did the scandal begin? Judy Trinh, a correspondent at CTV news, explains.
