What's going on in Burkina Faso?
Early on Friday morning there were reports suggesting that a coup may be taking place in Burkina Faso after gunfire was heard in the capital, Ouagadougou. Burkina Faso state TV was taken off air and it's unclear if it is back on again.
The country's leader Lt Col Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba has released a video urging the population to "stay calm and be careful", while a government source has told the 成人快手 some soldiers had mutinied.
Burkina Faso has had a series of coups in the not-too-distant past, with a total of nine in its history - only three African countries have had more.
A short while ago Newshour's Rebecca Kesby was able to speak to Henry Wilkins, a freelance journalist in the capital, Ouagadougou. She asked whether there was a coup underway?
