Plans for 'warm rooms' in UK public buildings this winter
The doubling of energy prices in many parts of the UK is having a significant impact on people's lives as they prepare for winter.
Local councils in England are already setting up what are known as "warm rooms" - or warm banks - in public buildings. People who can't afford to heat their own homes are able to come to these spaces and keep warm.
Claire - who lives in eastern England - has already had the experience of visiting a warm room and Janette Williamson, leader of Wirral Council on the north-west coast of England, is looking at installing them in some of their buildings.
They told Newshour's James Coomarasamy what their plans are for the winter.
