How Title IX shaped women's sports
June marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX, a piece of civil rights legislation in the Unites States of America which forever changed the future of girls and women in sports.
Title IX attempted to level the playing field for women in education, but it's influence stretched past that and particularly into women's sport.
Dr. Bonnie J. Morris explains how that legislation changed attitudes towards female sports participation in American society.
