Public art can be a contentious business and that's something the Irish sculptor Aidan Harte knows all about.

A year and a half ago, he was commissioned to create a two-metre high bronze statue of a mythical spirit -- called a p煤ca -- for the town of Ennistymon, Co Clare.

The p煤ca can - according to mythology - take the shape of a horse, and so Aidan created a piece with a human body and a horse's head - cavorting in a puckish fashion.

That was when the mischief really began. Aidan described the p煤ca and the controversy it generated to Newshour's Tim Franks.
