The Palestinian American journalist Shireen Abu Aqla, was killed while reporting on an Israeli raid in the West Bank. Al Jazeera, the organisation she worked for, accuses Israel of deliberately killing her in the occupied West Bank town of Jenin. Ali Samoudi, a Palestinian journalist who was with her and was wounded, said he was sure the shoots came from where Israeli soldiers were standing and no one else was there. Israel's prime minister said it was "likely" they were shot by Palestinian gunmen during an exchange of fire.
