The man tipped to win the presidency is Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Junior, the son of the nation's former dictator.
Millions of people in the Philippines are voting to choose a new president, a vice president, 12 senators, hundreds of congressmen, governors, mayors and provincial and city councillors.
The son of the country's late dictator, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Junior and the human rights lawyer, Leni Robredo, are the two main contenders for the presidency but the one tipped to win is Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Junior, the son of the nation's former dictator.
The 成人快手's Howard Johnson is at a polling station in Manila where some of the voting machines are faulty. He says they are on course to be mended but concerns on the integrity of the election are being monitored. Marcos' main rival is Leni Robredo, a liberal who narrowly beat Mr Marcos in the 2016 vice-presidential race, but polls have consistently shown the Marcos heir ahead. He says Marcos is more aligned to the Duterte style of government - a "firebrand, strong man style of politics, where he does things his way".
