For months, Caine had agonising tooth ache. His family couldn't get his dental treatment on the NHS and couldn't afford to go private. His secondary school in Calderdale in West Yorkshire felt compelled to act, because Caine was far from a one off. Teachers there have been increasingly concerned about the number of days of school being missed by their pupils because of dental problems. They contacted the local NHS community healthcare service who confirmed that there are no NHS dentists taking on patients in the area. They then approached a charity - which treats dental patients in developing countries - to help run a mobile surgery in their school. Luxmy Gopal is a 成人快手 News Correspondent in northern England.
