Russians react to Ukraine invasion
The 成人快手's Carrie Davies is in Rostov, southern Russia, near where Russian troops have been seen moving towards the Ukrainian border. She's been talking to Russians about their reactions to President Putin's speech ordering military action and demanding Ukrainian forces lay down their arms. She says many Russians did not expect conflict to break out, and have family and friends in Ukraine. They are worried about not just about the human cost but also the economic.
At the same time, Russian media has focused on accusations that Ukraine has been trying to launch an offensive into the separatist regions in the east and the evacuation of civilians from those areas to Russia.
Whilst some Russians are worried about the conflict, one woman said, "what can you do? There's nothing you can do."
