Sapphire of the Valley follows a man who wakes up in a forest, an environment that is seemingly alien to him. He begins a journey through the forest following a mysterious loud cry. The cry is just one of the multiple ominous entities inhibiting forest which he discovers as he goes deeper into it. The film is an experimental portrayal of the anxieties of suddenly having to live as an immigrant. Attempting to examine the stages of emotions as the immigrant realises that everything isn’t as it is promised.
