I Asked For Wonder is an experimental short film that presents a surreal visual reflection on the director’s personal experiences of othering and misogynoir. This reality is reimagined as a dystopian no-man’s land where time shifts randomly throwing the protagonist – Lunar - between a series of moments. I ASKED FOR WONDER is a representation of a personal history, the power of inherited knowledge and what it means to see yourself, a Black woman, represented in places you’re not expecting.
