With the Beijing winter games edging ever closer, it felt only right that she catches up with some of the athletes who are heading out to represent their nations. As a two-time winter Olympian she knows just how it feels, so is buzzing to introduce you to some of Team GB’s finest as they prepare for their shot at Olympic gold, as well as some of the biggest international names from around the world.
First up, from the USA, is the incredible snowboarder Jamie Anderson. She has amassed an unbelievable amount of medals and titles, and has dominated the sport for so long now. Aimee had the great privilege of competing against her and witnessed her rise to the top.
They shared some podiums along the way, but Aimee never managed to beat her! At the Olympic debut of slopestyle at the 2014 games, Jamie took the gold, and backed it up by retaining that title in 2018…so all eyes will be on her to repeat the feat yet again in 2022.
Aimee managed to catch up with Jamie in Austria as she was preparing for the games.
