UK removes all African countries from its Covid travel red list

Travel from 11 African countries had been heavily restricted after the Omricon variant was detected.

The UK has removed the 11 African nations from its travel red list saying the ban is now less effective in slowing the incursion of the Omicron variant from abroad.

Plus Nigeria is set to destroy a million Covid-19 doses because they are past their expiry date.
