Young poet tells COP26 to protect nature for future children
There have been many pledges to end climate change at the COP26 summit. But also protests around the host city of Glasgow and outside the conference building, mainly by young activists.
One young environmentalist, Delphine, aged eight, has written a poem to describe her feelings about climate change and the danger to nature and wild animals. Delphine Fraser鈥檚 poem won a 成人快手 competition. It was turned into an animation, and the two minute film was played to all the gathered attendees on the first Monday of the conference.
Delphine tells Newsday what inspires her and reads part of her poem: a tale set in the future when young girls can only dream about long extinct tigers, flamingos, chameleons and swordfish.
