World leaders have reached an agreement that aims to halt and reverse global deforestation by 2030, in the COP26 climate summit's first major deal.

More than 100 countries representing 85% of the world's forests have signed up, including Brazil, Russia, Canada, Colombia, Indonesia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Mishal Husain gets the thoughts of Dr Nigel Sizer, former President of Rainforest Alliance and founder of the campaign group Global Forest Watch, before questioning the Environment Secretary, George Eustice, about what makes this different from a previous deal signed in 2014.

Mishal also explores the question of how these sorts of deal are made by speaking to delegates and negotiators at the conference.
