In Cumbria - a big decision has to be made. Will the government give the go ahead for a new coal mine for Whitehaven – with the promise of investment and new well paid jobs for the area, or will ministers stop the new private coal mine because of commitments to climate change? Supporters claim it will create jobs and reduce the need to import coal. Opponents say it will have a devastating impact on the environment. As the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's Political Correspondent, Chris Mason, has been finding out - "it's a properly difficult decision" for the planning inspector - who will make his recommendation at the end of the year.
