"I have never been so pleased to see a chair with a hole in it!"
Mum's back home after spending nearly a fortnight in hospital. Her dementia is worse and she's finding it harder than ever to walk, sometimes even to stand up. It's immediately obvious that the carers are going to struggle to move her to the downstairs cloakroom. Son Andrew is therefore on a mission to get a wheeled commode. Once he'd picked it up, he sent his brother a photograph prompting the text: "I have never been so pleased to see a chair with a hole in it!". Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on 成人快手 Radio Leeds.
