'How are you booing us? We're trying everything to win for England’
England's record goal scorer Wayne Rooney speaks to Tony Bellew about playing in major tournaments for his country and watching the next generation develop.
The pair spoke on the former world champion boxer's new podcast, 'Tony Bellew is Angry', available now on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Sounds.
Rooney said: "I loved playing for my country that much that I felt disappointed when I heard the England fans booing us after ten minutes.
"I was just fuming inside thinking, 'How are you booing us? We're trying everything to win for this country. We might now win, we might not be at our best but we're giving everything we can.'"
