It seems everyone who was anyone in the latter half of 20th century pop music has been influenced by the humble brothers from Kentucky. It's no exaggeration to say that Phil and Don changed the face of pop music and became the most successful American duo of all time. Their harmonies were matchless and many of the great and good have tried and failed to emulate, them including The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, The Bee Gees and Beach Boys.
But it was the change they made to the music - their guitar playing was the envy of many - that was a new sound. According to Art Garfunkel, he and Paul Simon were listening to the brothers' first hit single Bye Bye Love, and became completely mesmerised before they had even sung a single note. Such was their unwitting influence and power.
Phil Everly passed away in 2014, and many said the angels in heaven would be singing to a sweeter tune.
Throughout the next two hours, self-confessed devotee Bill Kenwright will be looking back at their life and music, including favourites such as Bye Bye Love, Cathy's Clown, So Sad, Wake Up Little Suzie and too many others to mention - but you'll certainly be hearing as many as he can squeeze in.
