Cornwall's Suzanna Hext on her Paralympic journey
9 years ago, Suzanna Hext's life changed forever.
The equestrian rider from Truro was breaking in a new horse when it reared over and landed on top of her.
The accident left her with life changing injuries to her spine, head, pelvis and shoulder.
Years of hospital treatment followed - but it was watching the Paralympics in 2012 that encouraged Suzanna to stick with sport. She's won medals in para equestrian and is now about to compete in swimming at the Tokyo Paralympics.
She told our Sports Producer Ross Ellis how she reacted when she found out she was going to Japan.
