Afghanistan: Women in Mazar-i-Sharif too scared to leave the house
Outside Afghanistan's capital, many cities, towns and provinces have been enduring Taliban rule beyond the gaze of the international media. The country's fourth largest city, Mazar-i-Sharif in the north, was taken by the Taliban a week ago. International organisations and charities have a large presence there, and many of their workers are fearful. A young mother, who works for one of them told Newshour what kind of a week its has been for her and other women in Mazar-i-Sharif. We are not naming her for her own safety.
