Afghanistan: 'The Taliban know who I am and they keep tracking me'

The Taliban have stepped up their search for people who worked for Nato forces or the previous Afghan government, a document prepared for the UN has warned.

A former interpreter to US forces is still trying to get out of Afghanistan from Kabul airport but fears for his and his family's safety as he says he is being tracked by the Taliban. He's changing his location every few hours to avoid capture. So far, the US authorities have failed to provide a visa. He says the gates at the airport are controlled by a combination of the Taliban, the US Marines and Turkish forces and it's impossible for him to get inside. "Even a fly cannot get in there."

"I'm calling to Joe Biden - it's time to stand with us, just save our lives."
