US President says chaos in Afghanistan was 'unavoidable'
Some 5,000 people have been evacuated in the last 24 hours by US troops.
Chaotic scenes are still erupting at Kabul鈥檚 one and only airport - Hamid Karzai International Airport.
Many people there - even those holding visas to enter the US, UK, Germany, Australia, or Uganda for example - are facing grave danger as the Taliban are now blocking roads and access to the airport. President Biden has admitted that American troops are having difficulty getting Afghan civilians who worked with the US out of the country.
Hundreds of families are gathered outside the airport pleading with American officials to let them in, whilst flights are having to be stopped due to the Taliban interfering with routes.
