How the Taliban have become 'media savvy'
The Taliban have been developing their communications and media strategy in recent years, which has allowed them to reach a wider public and have visibility on digital platforms. Dawood Azami, an academic focusing on South and Central Asian countries and a senior journalist with 成人快手 World Service, explains the communications strategy they have adopted, how they exploit weaknesses in the Afghan government, and how they have expanded their diplomatic efforts to bring about relationships with neighbouring countries.
