'We put more on a person than they can bear' US sprinter Lauryn Williams on the pressures of the Olympic spotlight
Superstar Gymnast Simone Biles pulled out of two events at the Tokyo Olympics, in which she was favourite to win gold, due to mental health issues. The decision has been widely praised by America鈥檚 sporting superstars, including former world sprint champion Lauryn Williams, who says it will shine a spotlight on athlete welfare.
