Three friends from Rutland set '18 land speed records' on motorbike
Three friends from Rutland have set 18 land speed records in one day riding around Kendrew Barracks for 12 hours on a motorbike.
They rode a 125CC machine which ran faultlessly apart from a puncture at nine hours.
The trio were only allowed less than an hour of idle time for rider changes, refuelling and any repairs.
The records had not been challenged for more than half-a-century.
The Auto Cycle Union, the official motorcycle record authorising organisation, is yet to confirm the records.
Ian Arnold, Patrick Bramman and Richard Scott already had a string of records to their name but wanted more - as 成人快手 Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter found out.
