A real-life ‘Top Gun’ has been honoured on the side of a building in Loughborough.
Air Vice Marshal James Edgar ‘Johnnie’ Johnson spitfire top gun and famous flying ace was born in Barrow-on-Soar in 1915.
He rose to the rank of Air Vice Marshall and became a legend for his heroic exploits during World War Two.
