Somalia's president refuses to leave post
Somalia's President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has called for a meeting with federal state leaders next week to decide on how to proceed with elections.
The term of President Farmajo ended on Monday after talks on the elections collapsed on the 5th of February.
Opposition groups have said they no longer recognise Mr Farmajo鈥檚 authority and called for the formation of a transitional body. There are fears that Al Shabab, a militant Islamic group, may take advantage of the instability.
We spoke to Federal government spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Mu鈥檃limuu in Mogadishu.
