Ethiopia's Tigray crisis: UN urges protection of civilians
The leader of Ethiopia's Tigray region, Debretsion Gebremichael, has rejected the prime minister's ultimatum to surrender by Wednesday and has pledged to fight on in the conflict engulfing the north of the country.
The United Nations has called for protection for the half a million civilians in the city of Mekelle which the government has threatened to attack.
