Chileans celebrate referendum result
A large majority has voted in favour of changing Chile鈥檚 40 year-old constitution. The current president, Sebastian Pinera, said the new charter should reflect the democratic values of the country and protect the rights and aspirations of all Chileans.
Political scientist, Patricio Navia, who lectures at New York University and in Chile, is not convinced of the usefulness of changing the constitution introduced under the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.
