Syrian war: Uncovering mass graves
In Syria the bloody cost of the civil war continues to reveal itself with the continuing discovery of mass graves. Twenty eight in total have been found since the Islamic State (IS) was defeated three years ago. A number of former detention centres have also been identified. Mohammad al Abdallah is executive director of the Syria Justice and Accountability Centre which publishes a report today mapping some of these sites. Some of the descriptions are graphic.
