Three people have been shot and two people are reported to have died in the US city of Kenosha, amid a third night of violent protests over the police shooting of a black man, Jacob Blake. Earlier in the day Mr Blake's mother, Julia Jackson, appealed for an end to the violence during a media conference outside the Kenosha County Courthouse.

Armed business owners have been out in force to protect their premises. Julio Rosas is a senior writer for Townhall.com, who was reporting from the scene.
