Malaria cases could double because of Covid-19
The World Health Organisation has warned that disruptions to campaigns supplying insecticide-treated nets and access to antimalarial medicines during the covid 19 pandemic could lead to a doubling in the number of people dying from the disease. Dr Pedro Alonso is Director of the WHO Global Malaria Programme.
