Is Norway's Christmas tree gift a little sparse?

Each year since 1947, the Norwegian capital Oslo has sent a huge Christmas tree to London in gratitude for Britain's part in defending Norway during the Second World War.

The tree arrived again this year. But some Londoners have been less than generous in response. They've complained that the tree is sparse and drab.

Oslo's mayor, Marianne Borgen helped to cut the tree down and shares her thoughts on its appearance.
